Back in December 1997, we opened a specialist chocolate shop in Bury’s main Millgate shopping centre, under the name of “Chocoholics”. We stocked chocolates from around the world....a veritable delight for all chocoholics!

We soon realised that there was a gap in the market for a high class Tea Rooms, and we introduced one at the rear of the shop.

Before long we had to extend the Tea Rooms and add on to the kitchen as it had become so popular, and over the years we changed from being a Chocolate shop with a Tea Rooms to a Tea Rooms with a Chocolate shop!
During that time we developed the Tea Rooms into the popular business that you see today.

We will continue to retain the friendly, welcoming atmosphere, the exceptionally clean (rated 5-star, the highest rating from the Food Standards Agency) , bright and attractive surroundings, whilst ensuring that all our food and drink is of the highest quality.

Bury is a busy former mill town, now well known for it’s world-famous markets and extensive shopping centre. Other attractions include the restored East Lancs Railway, the Lancashire Fusiliers Museum, the Art Gallery, the Transport Museum and the popular Met Theatre as well as the nearby Holcombe Hill with it’s magnificent views from the Peel tower (built to commemorate local lad Sir Robert Peel, former Prime Minister and founder of the police force)
